چکیده

Zimmermann has shown that the fuzzy multi-objective program (FMOP) can be reduced to a standard linear program. While a linear membership function allows an easy conversion of FMOP into a linear programming problem, it should be obvious that such a function may be unsuitable for certain problems. It is generally admitted that membership functions are most likely nonlinear. One of the promising methods of linearizing nonlinear membership functions is the piecewise linear programming. However, the conventional methods require using complicated ways to represent a general piecewise membership function in FMOP. This always involves a dramatic increase in the number of constraints and may cause heavy computational burden when the number of break points becomes large. In this study an efficient piecewise linearization method for solving FMOP is proposed. The proposed method has the following features: (i) it expresses a general piecewise linear membership function more efficiently; (ii) fewer binary variables are used. The computational experiments are provided to demonstrate the superiority of the proposed models. The illustrative examples are also provided to show the usefulness of the proposed method.

FUZZY GOAL PROGRAMMING TECHNIQUE TO SOLVE MULTIOBJECTIVE TRANSPORTATION PROBLEMS WITH SOME NON-LINEAR MEMBERSHIP FUNCTIONS

The linear multiobjective transportation problem is a special type of vector minimum problem in which constraints are all equality type and the objectives are conicting in nature. This paper presents an application of fuzzy goal programming to the linear multiobjective transportation problem. In this paper, we use a special type of nonlinear (hyperbolic and exponential) membership functions to ...

Using necessarily weak efficient solutions for solving a biobjective transportation problem with fuzzy objective functions coefficients

This paper considers a biobjective transportation problem with various fuzzy objective functions coefficients. Fuzzy coefficients can be of different types such as triangular, trapezoidal, (semi) $L-R$, or flat (semi) $L-R$ fuzzy numbers. First, we convert the problem to a parametric interval biobjective transportation problem using $gamma$-cuts of fuzzy coefficients. Then, we consider a fix $g...

Stability in multiobjective possibilistic linear programs

This paper continues the authors’ research in stability analysis in possibilistic programming in that it extends the results in [7] to possibilistic linear programs with multiple objective functions. Namely, we show that multiobjective possibilistic linear programs with continuous fuzzy number coefficients are well-posed, i.e. small changes in the membership function of the coefficients may cau...

An Interactive Fuzzy Satisficing Method for Multiobjective Stochastic Integer Programming Problems through Simple Recourse Model

Two major approaches to deal with randomness or impression involved in mathematical programming problems have been developed. The one is called stochastic programming, and the other is called fuzzy programming. In this paper, we focus on multiobjective integer programming problems involving random variable coefficients in constraints. Using the concept of simple recourse, such multiobjective st...

Multiobjective security game with fuzzy payoffs

A multiobjective security game problem with fuzzy payoffs is studied in this paper. The problem is formulated as a bilevel programming problem with fuzzy coefficients. Using the idea of nearest interval approximation of fuzzy numbers, the problem is transformed into a bilevel programming problem with interval coefficients. The Karush-Kuhn-Tucker conditions is applied then to reduce the problem ...
